The Bear and the Hare

Here's the sketches of me roughing out how all the pages were going to layout for Dilynn's and I's short Graphic Novel The Bear and the Hare.The first 3 pages were redone when I decided to condense all the dialog onto the landing page giving me more time to set up the bears entrance into the forest.

I still love these sketches, they might be a bit hard to read because they are so small. But when I post the pages, believe me, you will see that almost nothing has changed going from these tiny thumb nails to the big pages. 

The check list was a check list our teacher gave us.

Canvas Texture

Made the canvas texture today.

Used this photo to make the tile texture.

Texturing the floor of my scene. This took much longer than I expected, had to reteach myself a few things to get it down right. Had a lot of trouble making the cement a tile-able texture. Kept using pictures where the light changed too much from corner to corner or when I went to heal the seam lines, it was obvious where I went to heal the seam lines.

The paint splatters are various brushes I found from around the net.

No ambient occlusion yet, only because the pieces on the floor are bound to move around. I'll have to reteach myself how to do that one as well, so I'm holding off for now.
